"Fjord Cruising" came to be after my boyfriend and I went on a Fjord Cruise in Bergen. I had heard from countless tourists how beautiful and amazing our fjords are, and I always felt a bit of Norwegian shame when I had to tell them I hadn't seen them for myself. So I had to change that, and man, was it everything the tourists said it was!

I was so inspired when we were back on dry land, I went straight to my sketchbook and sketch the idea that would soon become this painting, and I hold this memory and experience so dearly!
